Description
The US field operations specialist will be responsible for managing the US field operations, including, Holding yard management, hives logistics all year long, including all pollination activities and projects in the US.
The US field operation specialist will report to the US Operations Manager.
The US field operation specialist will focus on efficiency improvements, accurate tracking of beehive logistics, and company goals in operational hive management aspects while maintaining a premium experience for BeeHero customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the US Operations Manager, manage the logistical aspects of pollinating all relevant crops in the US market.
- Procure needed holding yards.
- Manage the schedule for inbound and outbound trucks.
- Monitor deployment to ensure on time and accurate hive deployment.
- Manage field inspection schedules and crews.
- Install in field equipment for pollination monitoring.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Ensure all field operations comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Manage and maintain field equipment and resources.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on field operations performance and progress.
- Assist in managing all pollination logistics including holding yards procurement and management, bee movers planning etc, logistics planning and scheduling.
- Assist the Customer Success team in reviewing maps and field conditions, meeting with growers when needed to ensure accurate mapping.
- Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal units.
- Keep accurate records and documents in Salesforce or any other required platform for customer service actions, discussions, and resolutions.
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- Ability to work with Bees, wear a beekeeper's suit, and work at night.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
- Ability to work well with a global organization and regional cultures.
- Ability to work well with remote management and staff.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using and troubleshooting technology and equipment; familiarity with sensors, IoT devices, and agricultural machinery is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25lbs – 85lbs.
- Ability to travel 25%-30% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Forklift experience.
- Beekeeper background/ knowledge – advantage.
- Spanish speaker - advantage.
